About Dusty Mercantile

Vintage finds, dusty roads, and family adventures

Dusty Mercantile is a small, family-run shop for antiques, vintage curiosities, and collectibles. Everything here is one of a kind — we own a single example of each piece, so when it's gone, it's gone.

How we find things

We source across New England — estate sales, barn clear-outs, auctions, and the kind of dusty back-room shelves that haven't been touched in thirty years. It is slow, unglamorous work, and it is the whole reason the shop looks the way it does: nothing arrives here by the pallet.

New finds land regularly, and the good ones rarely last. If something catches your eye, it is worth not sleeping on it.

How we describe things

Every piece is researched before it is listed — maker, era, pattern, and whatever marks it carries, so you know what you are actually buying. Where we are confident, we say so plainly. Where we aren't, we say that too.

Condition is graded honestly and photographed thoroughly, flaws included. These are old things; most of them have earned a chip or a scuff along the way. We would rather show you the wear up front than have it arrive as a surprise.

How it reaches you

Orders ship within two business days from our shop in Providence, Rhode Island, anywhere in the United States, with tracking emailed the moment your piece is on its way. Shipping is quoted at checkout from real carrier rates for your address — no flat-fee guesswork.

Every item is packed by hand with generous padding. A few pieces are simply too large or too fragile to post; those are collected in person, and the listing says so. Full shipping & returns policy →

Who you're buying from

There are three of us — Jeanette, Natalia, and Drew — and the shop is genuinely a family operation: the sourcing trips, the photography, the research, the packing table.

Jeanette and Natalia have a long history of treasure hunting. They love finding dusty gems, polishing them up, and making them available to a modern audience. Weekends are a long run of bargain hunting and uncovering new treasures — and this is where we make those gems available to you.

You are not buying from a warehouse or a reseller moving someone else's inventory. Every piece listed here passed through our own hands first.
