The story
Matching pair of Nautical Tin Lithograph Serving Trays. This set includes two identical round metal bar trays featuring a highly detailed maritime theme.
The border of each tray is lined with a colorful sequence of international maritime signal flags. Inside, six individual porthole-style roundels showcase various classic sailing vessels and yachts resting on vibrant blue water.
At the absolute center is a humorous, retro cartoon-style illustration of a whimsical sailor smoking a pipe while climbing a flagpole/mast amidst a ring of small signal pennants.
