Handmade Pictorial Applique Art Quilt Folk Art Beaded Mixed Media Wall Hanging

This exceptional handmade pictorial art quilt showcases twelve beautifully composed folk-art landscape scenes, featuring charming farmsteads, country churches, snow-covered winter landscapes, grazing sheep, wildlife, trains, flowering gardens, and festive holiday imagery. Together, the richly detailed panels celebrate rural life and the changing seasons through an imaginative collection of handcrafted textile artwork.

The quilt is thoughtfully embellished with an array of three-dimensional mixed-media elements that add remarkable depth and texture. These include sculpted molded novelty embellishments, colorful glass seed beads, floral petal beads, embroidered vines, layered felt appliqués, decorative buttons, and other hand-applied accents. The dimensional details bring the scenes to life, from textured sheep's wool and flowering gardens to barnyard animals and seasonal decorations.

The landscape is built from dozens of carefully layered fabric appliqués in a wide variety of coordinating prints and textures. Decorative machine embroidery and free-motion stitching add additional definition throughout, while precision machine quilting provides excellent structure and enhances the visual depth of each scene.

The entire quilt is framed with black sashing and finished with a coordinating floral outer border, creating a striking presentation that beautifully showcases each pictorial panel. The reverse features a coordinating floral backing fabric, completing this one-of-a-kind textile artwork.
